Who runs MealMuse
MealMuse is operated by [[your name or company]], contact [[you@yourdomain.com]]. In the UK and EU that party is the data controller for the processing described here.
What we collect
Nothing. No accounts, no analytics of our own, no contact form, no
server-side code. Some features remember things on your device with
localStorage — saved items, high scores and your answer to the cookie banner.
That data never leaves your browser and we cannot read it. Clearing site data removes it.
Advertising
This site carries advertising from [[Adsterra, or your network]]. Ad networks set their own cookies to measure and target ads and are a separate data controller for that.
No ad script loads until you press Accept on the cookie banner. Press Reject and the ad slots stay empty for the whole visit. You may change your mind with change cookie choice.
Link your network's own policy here: [[link to the ad network's privacy policy]].
Third parties this site contacts
Loading a page contacts these, which see your IP address as part of any web request:
| Service | Why |
|---|---|
| Google Fonts | The two typefaces |
| TheMealDB | Recipe data and photos |
| YouTube (nocookie) | Method videos, where a recipe has one |
Your rights
Under UK and EU GDPR you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal data held about you. As we hold none, such a request will normally be answered by saying so. Requests about advertising data go to the ad network. You may complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
This site is not directed at children under [[13 / 16, per your jurisdiction]].
